Sample Goals
To make your goal-writing easier, I have provided as samples the goals I wrote when we began homeschooling. Some of the goals have been revised and updated, some have not. Obviously, your family will have different goals. Some people will just do the basics for some subjects that we emphasize. I know some people who emphasize art; in contrast, we do just barely enough to say that we’ve addressed the legal requirements in that subject. Goals will depend partly on what’s important to you, and partly on the talents of your kids.
Use this as a starting point (or completely ignore these examples), then custom-design your family’s educational goals.
